On Reventador's crater a slight incandescence was seen during 11-12 November and a high number of rockfalls was reported by seismic signals on 13-18 November. Probably from the lava-flow-fronts.

The new eruption of Reventador volcano has calmed down, but continues, as news reports and the Istituto Geofisico report.

Reventador volcano in Ecuador has started a new eruption on 10 November with spectacular strombolian activity and lava flows on both its north and south side. A new eruption is reported from Reventador volcano. The Ecuadorian Institute of Geophysics (Istituto Geofisico, IG) reports eruptive tremor starting on 27 July from 15h00 local time. In the evening of that day, incandscence became visible from the summit of the volcano, indicating lava flows. An ash plume rose to 500-2000m and light ashfall was reported in the area around Olmedo.
