The lava flow from Reventador on 22 Jan 13
Activity remains at high levels. IG reports strong tremor and explosion signals. The current webcam image shows only a steam plume rising from the summit, but it is unclear if the lava flow seen on 22 Jan is still active.

Current seismic signal from Reventador (CONE station, IG)
Activity continues, but likely has becoming more intermittent judging from the seismic signal. Visual observations are most of the time impossible. ...more [read all]

Current seismic signal from Reventador (CONE station, IG)
The volcano has now entered a full-scale eruption. Lava flows descending on the flanks and glow at the summit were observed. A tall steam and ash plume rises 1.5 km above the volcano and drifts west. Additionally explosions have been reported which were heard in the sector of Reventador. ...more [read all]
