Background
The tiny flat-topped islet of Roca Redonda, only 50 x 100 m wide, is the remnant of a large shield volcano north of Isabela Island. Shallow submarine fumaroles are present around the island, and a single K-Ar date of essentially zero age (53 +/- 54 ka) was obtained.---
