A phase of intense activity has been recorded between 15:00 and 18:00 local time yesterday.
The HVO seismic station registered a swarm of about 50 earthquakes occurring mostly 1 mile (1,5 km) beneath the edifice. The largest recorded quake was measured with magnitude M 2.9, but the most of quakes were detected with magnitudes of 2 and less.
A rapid ground inflation followed around 16:20 local time associated with a lava lake drop by 7 meters resulting in a new lava ooze out exposed on the west and north crater floor margin.
All activity is focused on the summit area without any indication of magma shifting into either rift zone.
At about 17:30 local time, the activity returned to background levels.

Kilauea volcano (Hawaiian Islands, USA) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 7 September-13 September 2022 (Continuing Activity)
HVO reported that lava continued to effuse from a vent in the lower W wall of Kilauea's Halema`uma`u Crater during 6-13 September, entering the lava lake and flowing onto the crater floor. Part of the lake's surface was continuously active. By 12 September about 111 million cubic meters of lava had been erupted from the vent since the current eruption began on 29 September 2021, raising the crater floor by 143 m. ... Read all
