В течение января 2012 года деятельность вулканического купола Сантьягуито Caliente был устойчивый с множеством дегазации выбросы и пепла перья намного выше верхней части вулкана-Санта-Мария (вулкан отца). в течение 4 дней наблюдения деятельности группой геологов и вулканологов во время экспедиции в VolcanoDiscovery мы определили один-два часа, пирокластических потоков. Эти потоки образуются лавины золы и светящиеся блоков, произведенных в ходе всплеск в газовых и МАГМА во время экструзии купола, и они побежали вниз с Сторон на юге и Юго-Запад купол распространять до 500 м до 1 км расстояние от основания купола. ... читать все

Elevated activity continues at Santiaguito, as recent visitors and the latest reports from INSIVUMEH confirm. The Santiaguito lava dome has been producing frequent ash explosions with plumes to 700-800 m height and small avalanches and pyroclastic flows traveling down the eastern and southern flanks of Caliente dome. ... читать все

Santiaguito volcano had 4 strong eruptions between 18:50 and 20:00 local time on 26 April, 2010. According to INSIVUMEH and local newspapers, the explosions from the lava dome produces ash plumes reaching 8-9 km a.s.l. Authorities closed the airspace around the volcano in a radius of 20 km. ... читать все

During our pilot expedition to the volcanoes of Guatemala in Dec 2009, Santigaguito lava dome was observed between 25-28 Dec. The lava dome produced ash eruptions roughly every 0.5-3 hours with plumes reaching up to 300-1000 m elevation. On one occasion, a small pyroclastic flow was observed travelling down on the SW side of the lava dome. ... читать все
