PVMBG reported that during 23-29 March white plumes rose 328 ft (100 m) above the summit.
Incandescent material is being ejected to an approximate height of 20 meters above the Jonggring-Seloko crater and descended 200-500 m, reaching a maximum distance of 750 m from the crater.
The Alert Level remained at 2 (on a scale of 1-4).
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 1 km distance from the main crater and 4 km on the SSE flank.

PVMBG reported that on 3 March a pyroclastic flow was generated from collapsing material at the end of a 750-m-long lava flow on the S flank.
