Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin recorded today at 02:30 local time an explosion that generated an ash plume, which reached approx. 13,000 ft (3,962 m) altitude and drifted southwest.
The seismic station records 17 volcano-tectonic earthquakes.
The Alert Level remained at 2.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 1 km distance from the main crater and 4 km on the SSE flank.
