KVERT reported that during 27 November-4 December lava-dome extrusion onto Sheveluch's N flank was accompanied by incandescence, hot avalanches, and fumarolic activity. Satellite images detected a thermal anomaly over the dome during 28-29 November and 2 December; cloud cover prevented views of the volcano on the other days.
