An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 occurred only 10 minutes ago 30 miles northeast of Mammoth Lakes, California, United States, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 0.2 miles beneath the epicenter near Mammoth Lakes, Mono County, California, USA, in the evening on Saturday 26 December 2020 at 9:50 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.3 earthquake as well.
