Lagos / Light shaking (MMI IV) / horizontal (sideways) swinging / 2-5 s : I was laying in bed (awake, couldn't sleep and surfing the net) and felt the bed shake pretty vigorously and I was pretty sure it was a minor earthquake. I got up because it seemed a pretty good jolt but it had stopped already. I checked the time and it was around 3:33+ or so in the morning, which is why I just checked the internet for info this morning, to confirm my suspicions. After reading your description, I would have to go with light shaking because the bed was shaking and felt like swaying. I am on the 2nd floor. S.B. de Messines / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / single vertical bump / very short : The vertical bump felt like a shock / hit under my house without shaking. It was so loud and extreme that I awoke immediately. I thought that I could feel the bump under my bed, stayed calm and I waited for a second one or shaking. Nothing more happened and the frogs near my house started to “sing” again.
