IGP recorded during the period 30 Dec 2019-5 Jan 2020 1179 volcano-tectonic earthquakes, 9 explosions per day in average.
Ash plumes reached 26,138 ft (7,967 m) altitude and drifted N, SE and E onto the sectors of Sabancaya.
No significant changes are expected on the following days. Active lava dome is growing with diameter approximately 280 m.
The eruptive activity of the volcano continues at moderately levels.
