Sakurajima volcano (Kyushu, Japan): moderate explosion

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that vulcanian activity continues from the crater producing frequent moderate ash emissions.

An ash plume reached 9,400 ft (2,865 m) altitude and drifted SE.
Increasingly larger plume rising from the crater can be seen in the image.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 2 km distance from the main crater.
