San Christobal volcano (Nicaragua): gas explosions

About 41 gas explosions occurred at San Cristóbal between 13:54 and 16:25 local time on 6 June.
The strongest one occurred at 13:55, and generated an ash plume that rose 200 m above the crater rim and drifted SE. After the short period of increased activity, San Cristóbal returned to a calm state.

The seismic signal associated with the phreatic explosions at San Cristobal (CRIN stataion, INETER)
A series of small, probably phreatic explosions occurred at the volcano's summit crater early on Tuesday. INETER indicated the activity took place between 6:41 - 8:50 local time and consisted of at least 2 explosions, which generated a small steam and ash plume rising to about 200 m height. read all
