San Miguel volcano (El Salvador) activity update
Saturday Apr 06, 2013 15:08 PM | BY: T
Current seismic recording from San Miguel (VSM station, SNET)
Volcanic earthquakes embedded in weak tremor remain frequent.
Tuesday, Mar 19, 2013
The volcano has been relatively quiet recently. Only few volcanic quakes, weak tremor and (probably) rockfall signals show up now and then.
Thursday, Mar 07, 2013
Seismic unrest (fluctuating, sometimes strong volcanic tremor and earthquakes) continue. Several hot spots are visible on the volcano's flanks, but most likely caused by fires.
Tuesday, Feb 05, 2013
Activity has somewhat increased during the past 24 hours, including a pulse of stronger tremor and numerous small volcanic quakes.
Monday, Feb 04, 2013
Tremor has remained at unchanged, weak levels today.
Sunday, Feb 03, 2013
Weak continuous tremor mixed with local and some regional earthquakes remain the more or less unchanged sign of internal unrest at the volcano.

Introduction to Plate Tectonics
: The Earth's upper, rigid layer is broken into several plates which are in constant motion to one another. Most earthquakes and volcanoes occur as result of these plate boundaries.
Land of Theseus
: The Saronic Gulf opposite Athens is one of the most beautiful and interesting areas of Greece, full of beautiful landscapes, small towns, islands, archeological remains and one of Europe's least known active volcanic areas. Join us on a relaxing tour to discover this fascinating area!
