Santa Ana volcano (El Salvador) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 26 October-1 November 2005 (Continuing Activity)

During 30-31 October, seismicity increased at Santa Ana. Volcanic activity appeared to slightly increase starting on 28 October. Sulfur-dioxide emission rates during 28 and 29 October averaged 257 metric tons per day.
The Alert Level within a 5-km radius around the volcano's central crater was at Red, the highest level.
