The activity at Santiaguito has been decreasing in the past weeks. Ash explosions from the active lava dome are becoming less intense and frequent and INSIVUMEH reports that the blocky lava flows from the dome are currently calm.
A small explosion was captured by the new webcam yesterday morning.
The seismogramms show a lot of activity, most of which is probably related to rockfall from the steep-sided dome.
