According to INSIVUMEH the volcano entered to a new period of activity associated with lava extrusion of dome blocks which continue to descend on the west, east and northeast slopes. It produces frequent pyroclastic flows that travel over the slopes, as can be seen in the webcam screenshot.
Incandescence of the dome blocks is visible from the crater and caused hot avalanches of material on the S, SW and SE flanks.
Emissions of gas and steam plumes rose 11,154 ft (3,400 m) above the summit and extending about 12-15 km to the W-SW of the volcano.
