Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 15000 ft (4600 m) altitude or flight level 150 .

INSIVUMEH reported that during 27 October-3 November lava extrusion at Santa María's Santiaguito lava-dome complex generated block-and-ash flows that descended the W, SW, S, and SE flanks. Explosions generated ash plumes that rose as high as 900 m above the summit; ash plumes drifted 1 km SW during 27-28 and 30-31 October and as far as 10 km SW during 1-2 November.
