Ash explosion from Santiaguito yesterday morningExplosive activity has picked up again. There are frequent small to moderat ash emissions with plumes rising up to 1 km that drift SW and cause a constant light rain of ash in parts of Monte Claro and areas near Aldea San Marcos Palajunoj.
The lava flows on the south and southeast side of the dome were active as well and produced small avalanches.
