Santiaguito volcano (Guatemala): weak explosions from the Caliente dome

INSIVUMEH report 1 to 3, weak and moderate explosions per hour that eject ash columns to an approximate height of 3200 meters (10499 feet) above sea level, which disperse to the southwest at a distance of approximately 1 kilometer. Weak avalanches on the southeast flanks of the Caliente dome. Ashfall accumulating on the edifice perimeter.

INSIVUMEH report 15 weak explosions occurring in the past 24 hours from Santiaguito lava dome complex, with plumes reaching heights of 3300 meters above sea level (10825 feet) that disperse to the southwest. Ash fall occurred within the perimeter and weak-moderate avalanches were generated on the south and southeast flank. [more]
