Santiaguito volcano (Guatemala): elevated activity continues

INSIVUMEH recorded a white fumarole in Caliente dome that rose 10,500 ft (3,200 m) above the summit.

The seismic station detected weak explosions that generated a dark ash plume which reached approx. 10,800 ft (3,300 m) above the summit and drifted W.
Material is ejected above the crater and caused weak avalanches of material on the south, east and southeast flanks of the Caliente dome.
