Seulawah Agam is an active stratovolcano at the northwestern tip of Sumatra. It was built within the older lam Teuba caldera. It has a 400 m wide forested summit crater and a crater at 650 m on the NNE flank, the Van Heutsz crater, which has active fumaroles. The last activity of Seulawah Agam was probably a phreatic or hydrothermal explosion in 1839 from the van Heutsz crater.

The report mentions the last eruptions from the volcano were in May 16 and August 21, 1975 when thunder was heard from the volcano and smoke (ash) was seen emitted from the volcano. [less]
Current activity of Bardarbunga volcano, Iceland: An intense seismic crisis started at Bárdarbunga volcano on 16 August 2014 and is continuing at the time of writing (23 Aug). It may or may not lead to a volcanic eruption, possibly under the Vatnajökull ice cap.
