Background
The andesitic and dacitic Shirouma-Oike volcanic complex consists of the Norikura-dake stratovolcano and the Kazafuki-dake lava dome. An older volcano was active 0.8-0.5 million years ago and younger volcano was active since 0.2 million years ago (Nakano et al., 2001-).---
