The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported that seismicity remains elevated with continuous low-level tremor. Satellite and web camera views were mostly obscured by clouds over the past 24 hours, but one relatively clear image showed a small gas plume emanating from the summit of the volcano. Eruptive activity appears confined to the summit area during this most recent period of unrest, which started mid-March. Activity could increase with little or no warning, however, resulting in lava flows and lahars outside of the crater and (or) ash emissions. read all
