Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 12000 ft (3700 m) altitude or flight level 120 and is moving at 5 kts in SW direction.

Yury Demianchuk from the volcanological observatory in Klyuchi reported a few days ago that visual observations on 12 March 2020 confirmed new dome growth from the active lava dome. The actively growing area was located in the right (northern) part of the extrusive dome and had not been observed during the previous months.
