The lava dome continues to grow. A moderate explosion occurred last night, producing an ash plume that rose to between 8,000 ft (1.8 km) (VAAC Tokyo) and 13,000 ft (4 km) (KVERT) altitude. ...more

Explosive-extrusive-effusive eruption of the volcano continues. According to visual and satellite data, a viscous lava flow continues to effuse on the north-western flank of the lava dome, strong and moderate fumarolic activity and incandescence of the dome summit and hot avalanches accompanies this process. ...more

Activity continues to build the lava dome which sheds hot avalanches from time to time. Incandescence above the summit of the lava dome was observed. Satellite data shows a thermal anomaly over the volcano. Moderate seismicity and strong degassing accompany this activity. (KVERT)
