The volcano has remained calmer since the large-scale explosion on 15 June, which had produced an ash plume that rose up to 12 km (39,000 ft) altitude and drifted more than 1000 km NE and SE, causing ash fall in Klyuchi (50 km SW), Maiskoe, Kozyrevsk (115 km SW), and Atlasovo (160 km SW). ...more
