Shiveluch volcano (Kamchatka): explosive activity increases

Explosion from Shiveluch volcano yesterday morning (KVERT webcam)
The volcano's activity seems to have increased during the recent days / weeks. A comparably large explosion occurred yesterday morning at 07:06 local time.
Judging from webcam images, it sent a shower of incandescent bombs to heights approaching 1.5-2 km above the lava dome and more than 1 km lateral distance.
