Sheveluch volcano (Kamchatka, Russia): lava dome remains very active, ash plume to 30,000 ft this morning

The volcano's lava dome remains in a very active state. Yesterday evening around 17:00 local time, an explosion or a pyroclastic flow (caused by larger rockfalls) or a combination of both generated a relatively large ash plume:
VAAC Tokyo detected it on satellite imagery and estimated to have reached approx. 30,000 ft (10 km) altitude. For Sheveluch, this is nothing unusual and similar events are likely to continue every now and then.
Due to cloud cover, no direct observations are available from the ground (pictures posted elsewhere often show older images). Only glow can be seen during brief windows of clearer weather at night and thermal radiation (as detected on infrared sensor on satellites) from the dome remains high.
