Sinabung volcano (Sumatra, Indonesia): phreatic explosion today

According to PVMBG a moderate phreatic explosion occurred at 01:58 local time today. A grey and brown ash emissions rose 6,561 ft (2,000 m) above the summit and drifted east.

The second eruption occurred at 17:18 local time with plume of ash that rose 3,280 ft (1,000 m) above the summit.
The seismic station records internal tremor that has lasted approx. 1 hour and has continued at 18:18 local time.
An increase of volcano-tectonic earthquakes (44 VT events) has been recorded including eruption earthquake with duration of 1 hour and 44 seconds.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 3 km distance from the main crater and 5 km on the SE flank and 4 km on the NE flank.

Sinabung volcano (Sumatra, Indonesia) activity update: Large explosion- ash to 16.7km (55,000ft); pyroclastic flows
