Once again a very powerful explosion has occurred- at around 09:30 UTC today- sending an ash column high into the atmosphere, and producing large pyroclastic flows. According to the latest report from Darwin VAAC, the eruption is continuing, with an ash plume rising to 9km (30,000ft).

Just few days after the official alert level had been decreased, a massive explosion occurred during the last night at 02:53 local time, generating an ash plume that rose to possibly up to 15 km altitude (50,000ft). ...
