Slamet volcano (Central Java, Indonesia) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 30 April-6 May 2014 (New Activity / Unrest)
PVMBG reported that during 29 March-30 April seismicity at Slamet increased and inflation was detected. Observers noted that white plumes rose as high as 800 m above the crater, and dense gray ash plumes rose as high as 2 km and drifted E and W. Slamet volcano (West Java, Indonesia): strombolian eruptions intensify
Strombolian eruptions continue from the active vent in the summit caldera of the volcano and seem to have intensified recently. According to a local newspaper article, 52 explosions were observed during midnight until this morning, which ejected lava bombs to heights of 500-700 meters.
