On 2 September INGV reported that strombolian activity continues associated with scoria ejected on the north flank of Sciara del Fuoco.

Ash emissions reach up to 5,334 ft (1,626 m) altitude.

INGV reported that during 13-19 July activity at Stromboli was characterized by ongoing explosive activity from two vents in Area N (north crater area) and four vents in Area C-S (south-central crater area).
