A lava flow is active on the western Sciara del Fuoco and according reached the sea yesterday evening. However, as of today, while it is still active, its effusion rate seems to have decreased and probably no longer reaches the shore.
It emerges from an effusive vent on the southwestern extremity of the crater terrace.
