Stromboli volcano eruptions:
Persistant (near-constant) activity since at least 2-3000 years. Most recent effusive (lava flow) eruptions from Dec. 2002-July 2003, March 2007, Aug-Oct 2014. Paroxysm 3 July 2019
Typical eruption style:
Small explosive (strombolian) eruptions, typically every 20-30 mins. Intermittently, ca. every 2-20 years, minor effusive eruptions (lava flows); on average 2-5 times per year larger explosions.

The activity at the volcano continues to be elevated overall, but has been decreasing slowly during the past weeks.
No more significant lava overflows have occurred recently. The frequency of strombolian-type eruptions remains quite high with typically more than 15 per hour (one every 3-4 minutes), and sizes vary from small to moderate.
According to LGS, the amplitude of seismic tremor, infrasonic activity and acoustic pressure of explosions as well as rockfall activity are medium. No significant variations in ground deformation have been detected.
SO2 flux in the NE sector of the crater terrace is low.
