Stromboli volcano (Eolian Islands, Italy) activity update: decreasing trend continues

The activity at the volcano has continued to decreased overall during the past weeks, and is now described as "medium":
It is characterized by frequent strombolian-type explosions of small to moderate size mainly from the NE and occasionally also from the central-western vents, with an average of 18 per hour.
Tremor and degassing levels have been comparably low and no other significant variations of monitored parameters have been found recently.
