The activity at the volcano has again increased during the past days and is again being characterized as at "high level".

During the last 24 hours, the explosive activity from both the SW and NE crater sectors has been elevated with averages around 20 explosions per hour and very high values of acoustic pressure (up to 5.4 bar compared to normal values around 1 bar).
Seismic tremor is high. Deformation and degassing data show no significant variations.
