Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 20000 ft (6100 m) altitude or flight level 200 .

Suwanosejima volcano (Ryukyu Islands, Japan) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 14 July-20 July 2021 (New Activity / Unrest)

JMA reported that five explosions at Suwanosejima's Ontake Crater during 12-19 July ejected bombs as far as 400 m from the crater.
