Suwanosejima volcano (Ryukyu Islands, Japan) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 27 October-2 November 2021 (Continuing Activity)
JMA reported that an explosion at 1317 on 26 October at Suwanosejima's Ontake Crater produced an eruption plume that rose as high as 3.3 km above the crater rim and ejected material 1.9 km away from the crater. Ashfall was reported in Toshima village (4 km SSW). No explosions were recorded during 29 October-1 November, though eruption plumes rose as high as 2.4 km and tephra was ejected 400 m from crater.

The Alert Level remained at 3 and the public was warned to stay 2 km away from the crater.
