Suwanosejima volcano (Ryukyu Islands, Japan) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 15 June-21 June 2022 (Continuing Activity)
JMA reported that the eruption at Suwanosejima's Ontake Crater continued during 13-20 June. Crater incandescence was visible at night. Emissions rose as high as 1.6 km above the crater rim and material was ejected as far as 300 m from the vent.

The Alert Level remained at 3 and the public was warned to stay 2 km away from the crater.
