Taal volcano (Luzon, Philippines): elevated activity continues

An ash plume from Taal volcano today (image: PHIVOLCS)
PHIVOLCS recorded a dark grey ash plumes at 06:17 and 06:21 local time that rose 1,640 ft-2,624 ft (500 m-800 m) above the summit crater and drifted W and SW.
The seismic station records 103 volcano-tectonic earthquakes of which 14 were with magnitude M 1.4 - M 4.0.
It was released 4186 tons/day of sulfur dioxide.
Alert level remains at 4
on a scale of 0-5. The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows and tsunamis could affect an area of about 14 km distance from the main crater.
