Tangkuban Parahu volcano (Western Java, Indonesia) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 18 September-24 September 2019 (Continuing Activity)

PVMBG reported that the seismic network at Tangkubanparahu recorded continuous tremor during 16-22 September. A phreatic event at Ratu Crater on 17 September was accompanied by roaring. An ash plume rose as high as 40 m above the vent and steam plumes rose as high as 200 m.
The Alert Level remained at 2 (on a scale of 1-4), and the public was warned to stay 1.5 km away from the active crater.
