Following increasing seismicity, gas emissions and deformation, and an isolated phreatic eruption last week, activity has again increased after a slight drop-off, with a number of further explosions over the last day. The alert level was raised to 2 (Waspdada) on a scale of 1-4; an exclusion zone of 1500m is in place.
