Tungurahua volcano (Ecuador): increased activity with constant ash emission and strong tremor

Increasing seismic activity from Tungurahua, RETU station, first half of today (IG)

An important increase of Tungurahua's activity can be seen on online data. VAAC Washington reports an ash plume at 20,000 ft (6 km) altitude moving WNW, and a strong SO2 plume is visible on satellite imagery.
The tremor signal from Tungurahua increased strongly over night and suggests a phase of elevated activity going on.
