Tungurahua volcano last night
Today and yesterday, the activity at the volcano has been lower and emissions much reduced, after a phase of near continuous degassing and ash venting, producing columns of up to 3 km height during 18-19 Nov.
Effects of recent ash falls in Cotaló and Pillate (images: IGEPN)
In this period, 1-6 mm of ash fell in areas to the NW, including Cotaló, Chacauco, Pillate, Chontapamba, Chonglontus, Cusua, Juive, and Bilbao where it caused significant damage to vegetation and some infrastructure.

Tungurahua volcano (Ecuador) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 18 November-24 November 2015 (Continuing Activity)
IG reported high seismic activity at Tungurahua during 17-24 November, characterized by long-period events, volcano-tectonic events, explosions, and signals indicating emissions; cloud cover sometimes prevented visual observations. Almost daily ash-and-gas emissions rose as high as 3 km above the crater and drifted SW, W, and NW. Ashfall was reported on most days, in areas including Choglontus (13 km WSW), Manzanó (8 km SW), Cotaló (8 km NW), Bilbao (8 km W), Chontapamba (W), Penipe (15 km SW), Cevallos (23 km NW), Mocha (25 km W), Chacauco (NW), Cusúa (8 km NW), and Píllate (8 km W). ... The activity of the volcano has increased during the past days. Near-continuous explosive eruptions at the summit crater have been creating ash plumes that rose up to 3 km and drifted into westerly directions. Up to 2 mm of fresh ash fall occurred in areas up to 10-20 km west of the volcano. Incandescent bombs were seen ejected during the explosions as well. Read all
