Ubinas volcano (Peru): no significant change in activity since the last update; descent of a lahar detected
IGP reported that the warning system at the volcano detected the decrease of a lahar (volcanic mud flow) of a low volume that traveled downslope in SE direction through the Volcanmayo ravine due to the streams that run through this sector. Ubinas volcano (Peru) activity update: recorded descent of a lahar
IGP reported that the seismic station records internal tremor associated with the descent of a lahar (mud flows) of a moderate volume. The lahar which formed traveled down the SE flank of the volcano along the Volcanmayo gorge at the approx. distance of 2 km from the Ubinas town. ... Read all
