Explosion at Ubinas volcano yesterday
A relatively strong explosion occurred yesterday morning at the volcano, followed by ongoing ash emissions. Overall, the activity at the volcano has been showing again an increasing trend.
The ash plume was approx. 3 km high and rose to 10 km altitude, then drifted east:

Local media reported that people in the villages of Yunga, Lloque and Chojata, all located east of the volcano, needed to wear dusk masks.
