Ubinas volcano (Peru) activity update: recorded descent of a lahar

Traveled lahar down the SE flank from Ubinas volcano (image: IGP)
IGP reported that the seismic station records internal tremor associated with the descent of a lahar (mud flows) of a moderate volume. The lahar which formed traveled down the SE flank of the volcano along the Volcanmayo gorge at the approx. distance of 2 km from the Ubinas town.
The population is recommended to stay away and avoid driving on the road that crosses the channel of this creek.
