Popocatepetl volcano, Mexico: update
Mexico's Popocatepetl volcano spewed a moderately large vapor and ash column that reached some 900 meters (3,000 feet) above the crater. The famous volcano, located some 60 kilometers (37 miles) southeast of Mexico City, has been showing similar signs of activity all year. Approach restrictions to the volcano on a 12 kilometers (seven miles) radius are still in place.
