Smithsonian / USGS weekly report 15-21 February 2012 - summary

The new Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report is out. Updates include:
Cleveland (Aleutians): no significant changes (elevated temperatures, small growing lava dome now about 60 m diameter)
Kanaga (Aleutians): probable eruption on 18 Feb, elevated seismic activity, steam plume during 19-21 Feb
Reventador (Ecuador): continued small lava flow on NE flank, visible as thermal anomaly. Washington VAAC reported an ash plume that drifted 19 km SE on 16 February. IG observed an ash plume that rose 100 m above the crater on 18 February.
Tinakula (Solomon Islands: possible eruption observed on 14 Feb
Turrialba (Costa Rica): glow at West crater
Bezymianny (Kamchatka): increased seismic activity, thermal anomaly, probably growing lava dome
El Hierro (Canaries): eruption dying
Karmysky (Kamchatka): ongoing activity, occasional ash eruptions
Kilauea (Hawai\'i): lava flows on and above pali, lava lake in Halema\'uma\'u
Kizimen (Kamchatka): large lava flow on the E flank and accompanying hot avalanches
Popocatépetl (Mexico): steam-and-gas emissions, crater incandescence
Puyehue-Cordón Caulle: continuing ash emissions reaching 1 km height above crater
Sakura-jima:occasional explosions, ash plumes rising 1.8-2.4 km altitude
Shiveluch: viscous small lava flow in the 2010 crater, steaming from the lava dome
